Saw a visit from Frodsham Patchwork Group, led by Gill Young. Their group is the same age as Montague Patchers so it was particularly interesting to compare the two groups and see the work they make:

Some of our members demonstrated different techniques. Included in this were an easy way of doing the Attic Windows pattern and a quick and easy humbug bag. There are some instructions for this bag here – http://sewlittlefabric.blogspot.com/2010/12/humbug-bag-how-to-insert-zipper.html

Also demonstrated was a simple needlecase. These needlecases were presents received when Margaret M’s sister Gracie last visited from Australia:
